Louisiana Cannabis Association

The Louisiana Cannabis Association strongly believes that doctors should have the freedom to recommend the treatment they deem appropriate for their patients – including medical marijuana.

Cannabis is legal as medicine under state law in 23 states and the District of Columbia and has been shown to be an effective treatment for the symptoms and side effects associated with HIV/AIDS, cancer, hepatitis C, PTSD, Multiple Sclerosis and other neuromuscular disorders, glaucoma, and chronic pain. The American College of Physicians, American Public Health Association, American Nurses Association, and many other professional associations and organizations support the availability of medicinal marijuana.

By combining advocacy and educational efforts, the Louisiana Cannabis Association is working diligently to help medical professionals recommend medical cannabis for the patients they believe will benefit most from it.
